Leadership Advancement Program
The Leadership Advancement Program of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce is an exclusive benefit of membership. We invite you to enroll yourself or one of your employees into the program for the 2016-2017 year. Sponsored by: Dale Carnegie Training and The Rose Group/Applebee’s and Wells Fargo.
Leadership Advancement is designed to take the region’s top and future business leaders on a journey of discovery to go behind the scenes of County Government; the region’s most powerful influencers; our school system; prison system; healthcare – and much more!
This intensive nine month program not only introduces participants to leaders, companies and organizations in a profound and intimate way, it also provides a network of support among a cadre of fellow professionals interested in shaping the business community and region for years to come.
Founded through visionary Marian Jensen Barford, a cultural community leader, this 13 session program offers the opportunity to meet from once to twice a month and presents an expanded portrait of Bucks County – from its tremendous legacy of arts and culture; its history of land preservation; and its presence as a rich community of top thinkers and business producers.
Christopher S. Carter, 2016 Leadership Advancement Graduate states, “I urge you to maximize your CBCC experience and grow your personal and business horizons. Innovative and rewarding, the benefits of the Leadership Advancement Course were tangible and applicable. It was so impactful; I’d consider doing it all over again! But, don’t simply take my word for it – invest in yourself, take advantage and discover these treasures in our backyard.”

What Graduates Say About the Leadership Advancement Program:
“I wanted to thank the Chamber again for the wonderful graduation ceremony last night. It was a fantastic ending to a meaningful experience. I also wanted to remark how I truly appreciated the chance to hear each of you give your perspectives on why you thought this program was so inspirational to you. It reconfirmed how important the Leadership program is.
- D. Todd Parlee (ParleeStumpf)
"The wide variety of classes introduced us to influential members of the community, and was a civic, history, and government class all rolled into one excellent course. The experiences I had and the relationships I developed will go a long way to helping me position my business to grow and flourish in the years to come." - Mark Breon, BucksMont Accounting
"As a 33 year resident of Bucks County, I was fascinated about how little I actually knew about so many places and issues I actually thought I had a good working knowledge of. The better informed you are, the stronger the opportunity to advance. Take the lead and let it work for you." - Henry Cervino (Third Federal Bank)
"The Leadership Advancement Program provides a comprehensive overview of Bucks County that is helpful to new as well as seasoned professionals. The connections made with other community and business leaders opens doors that otherwise would remain closed." Tobias Bruhn (Bucks County Community College Foundation)
